QUALITY LEARNING, TEACHING AND PARTICIPATION AT BEAUMONT
PLEDGE AS A LEARNER
1.Accepts that the main reason for being in school is to learn and develop academically, socially, physically and culturally;
2.Adheres to all school rules;
3.Respects the legitimacy and authority of teachers;
4.Respects our school environment (no littering or any form of vandalism) and equipment;
5.Takes responsibility for all homework, tasks and projects;
6.Shows respect towards other learners and not to discriminate;
7.Respects our school uniform and the regular neatness thereof;
8.Avoids anti-social behaviour like theft, vandalism, assault, sexual harassment, alcohol and drug / substance use, and other similar activities that disrupt the learning process;
9.Accepts the expectation of the school that each child takes part in a least one summer / winter sport and / or cultural activity each year.

PLEDGE AS A PARENT
1.Actively involves oneself in the activities of the school, including school governance and other serving structures;
2.Have regular discussions with my child / ren about general school matters;
3.Instills a sense of responsibility, commitment, participation and pride to all aspects of school life i.e. academically, culturally and sport-wise;
4.Cultivates a healthy, open and co-operative relationship with my children’s teachers (no ‘pavement talk’ or negative talk of teachers in front of children);
5.Creates a home environment conducive to study;
6.Assists in the safe management of educational resources such as textbooks, chairs, tables and other related belongings;
7.Will ensure that my child / ren will participate in at least one summer / winter sport and / or cultural activity each year;
8.Adheres to, and supports the school’s communication channels.
