QUALITY LEARNING, TEACHING AND PARTICIPATION AT BEAUMONT

PLEDGE AS A LEARNER

  1. Accepts that the main reason for being in school is to learn and develop academically, socially, physically and culturally;
  2. Adheres to all school rules;
  3. Respects the legitimacy and authority of teachers;
  4. Respects our school environment (no littering or any form of vandalism) and equipment;
  5. Takes responsibility for all homework, tasks and projects;
  6. Shows respect towards other learners and not to discriminate;
  7. Respects our school uniform and the regular neatness thereof;
  8. Avoids anti-social behaviour like theft, vandalism, assault, sexual harassment, alcohol and drug / substance use, and other similar activities that disrupt the learning process;
  9. Accepts the expectation of the school that each child takes part in a least one summer / winter sport and / or cultural activity each year

PLEDGE AS A PARENT

  1. Actively involves oneself in the activities of the school, including school governance and other serving structures;
  2. Have regular discussions with my child / ren about general school matters;
  3. Instills a sense of responsibility, commitment, participation and pride to all aspects of school life i.e. academically, culturally and sport-wise;
  4. Cultivates a healthy, open and co-operative relationship with my children’s teachers (no ‘pavement talk’ or negative talk of teachers in front of children);
  5. Creates a home environment conducive to study;
  6. Assists in the safe management of educational resources such as textbooks, chairs, tables and other related belongings;
  7. Will ensure that my child / ren will participate in at least one summer / winter sport and / or cultural activity each year;
  8. Adheres to, and supports the school’s communication channels.
